Taste of Home Cooking School Schedule
Taste of Home Cooking Schools are located around the country as the staff of culinary specialists travel by van to present ways to cook new dishes to become your favorites. These tours happen in certain states during the spring season while during the fall season other states are toured. This happens to create an even map of cooking schools located across the nation. If no cooking schools are being held in your state during a certain season that means that yours is going to be held in the next season. For example, taste of home cooking schools are held in Alabama in the fall season, while in Florida they are being held in the spring time. There program does not operate in the summer or winter to give the culinary artists time to prepare for the next set of shows around the country. Sometimes there is so much interest in certain states that the cities hosting the event will need to be put in a rotation. This usually means a break of no more than 1-2 years for a city until it is held there again.
The Taste of Home Cooking School is held on stage for two and a half hours and is taped for viewers around the area. During the time on stage there are ten to twelve recipes with valuable cooking techniques being demonstrated depending on the time frame of the show. The Made Easy version of the Taste of Home Cooking School is held for about one and a half hours on stage with a total of seven to eight quick and easy recipes for the busy family. The Made Easy show also showcases craft and decorating ideas that offer grand projects that don’t take much time. Most events will have local vendor booths and food concession stands available to sample products and get your fill of local fare. These pre-show activities have a great local flair to them and are always popular with the attendees.
Cooking School Requirements:
The Taste of Home Cooking School relies on members of the media such as local newspapers and radio stations to sponsor the venue. Local media give sufficient advertising time to the national food companies that provide funding for the cooking school event to happen. Usually this means that the participating city must be of a certain size for the media to give sufficient resources such as enough staff to organize the event as well as providing a facility for the show to host a minimum of 700 participants. If the local media cannot participate due to lack of profitability or community interest or simply declines the opportunity to host the event then the cooking school usually is held in a city that is able to meet all of the requirements. *Note: If the information for the show is not showing up online then please check again later. The newspaper or radio station hosting the event is required to submit information for the show at least 4 weeks before the scheduled program. The media outlet usually starts advertising right away after they submit their information to get the information out to the public as soon as possible. This can happen in the form of radio ads, newspaper ads or even posters in your local supermarket so keep your eyes and ears on the lookout.
